In Egodystonic & Egosyntonic the body is used as a starting point for the recognition of our human condition and the proposal of our solar re-evolution.

The body offers itself up to the viewer in the photograph before rising out of the image into marbled flesh.

The raw, meaty quality of the marble brings the artwork to life as the life-size body of sculptural fragments escapes from the two dimensions.

Contemporary photography is imbued with past histories, as the marble stucco technique recalls seventeenth-century art histories and the terracotta-colored marble recalls materials from ancient cities like Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Mixed media techniques include real-size photography and artificial marble sculptures on wooden boards.
